A message everyone can appreciate

Good news travels fast. We’re extending our reach to Ontario’s multi-lingual communities by publishing our “Serving in the Public Interest” brochure in Ontario’s top five languages.
In addition to our French and English versions, we’ve created community-friendly versions for interested members of the public who speak Tamil, Spanish, Punjabi, Italian and Chinese.
The brochures provide an overview of what the Ontario College of Teachers does to regulate Ontario’s teaching profession in the interests of the public. Licencing qualified people to become teachers, for example. Setting high ethical and practice standards. Accrediting programs and courses. And holding those who fail to uphold the standards accountable. The College does all this and more!
See how highly qualified Ontario’s teachers are at Find a Teacher and see what advice the College provides to its members on topics such as safety and the use of social media.
Why are we doing this? We believe in inclusivity and respect diversity. We’re committed to quality, excellence and professionalism. And we value accountability and transparency.
If you like what we’ve done and what we have to say, please pass along an electronic link to someone you know who might appreciate the information in a language that’s easiest for them.
And let us know how we’re doing. We’re here to serve you!
