Network

The College of Teachers is connected to organizations, institutions and individuals involved in education all across Ontario.

We regulate the teaching profession in the public interest. The College:

  • certifies teachers to work in Ontario publicly funded schools
  • accredits the programs that prepare teachers to teach
  • disciplines those who breach provincial standards for conduct in teaching.

We connect with employers of College members, providers of teacher education programs and courses, parents, the government and other organizations that have an interest in student learning.

In this section:

  • Employers can update their staff database to maintain current and accurate records of the teachers they employ
  • Teacher education providers can manage accreditation applications to the College or report qualifications completed by new graduates and teachers
  • Parents can learn about the credentials and qualifications of their child’s teacher. We keep a public register of all certified members that you can visit at all times
  • You can find links to members’ organizationsOntario ministries and other education organizations
  • You can delve into the College’s extensive resources to better understand what we do and the role we play in education.
