  • Info for parents: The Ontario College of Teachers offers a number of online tools and resources for parents. Learn about teacher qualifications and our disciplinary process. It’s all available on our website. Bookmark it as your go-to resource.
  • There’s an app for that: From an app that can turn your tablet or smartphone into a planetarium to one that reads aloud with your child, check out the latest write-ups on these educational apps. Looking for apps in English and French? Click here to read reviews of bi-lingual apps created for parents and teachers.
  • Top 5 education-related Ted Talks: Read the descriptions of these Ted Talks from around the world that reflect the College's ethical standards of care, trust, respect and integrity.

Have you heard or seen our public awareness advertisements? You might recognize them through the children’s voices in our radio ad talking about “setting the standard for great teaching.” Perhaps the eye-catching print advertisements have drawn your attention to the link between students’ possible professions and excellence in teaching?

The Ontario College of Teachers regulates teaching in Ontario by licensing teachers, setting high professional and ethical standards, approving teacher education programs and investigating and hearing complaints about members.
