Notice of Resignation

Michael Salvatori today announced his resignation as Registrar and Chief Executive Officer of the Ontario College of Teachers.
Michael, who is currently on a leave of absence, will conclude his employment with the College effective January 22, 2021. He has held the role since June 1, 2009.
On behalf of Council, Chair Nicole van Woudenberg thanked Michael for his years of dedication and service to the College and the teaching profession in Ontario. “Michael is regarded as a leader in the area of self-regulation and his commitment and dedication helped make the College a model of transparency and accountability to the public we serve. Michael will be deeply missed by my Council colleagues as well as by the College’s staff. We wish him well in his future endeavors.”
Over the years, Michael has served in a number of roles at the College, including that of client services manager, accreditation program officer, and membership services director, prior to his appointment as Chief Executive Officer and Registrar. Michael also recently served a term as the President of the Council on Licensure, Enforcement and Regulation an international organization committed to regulatory excellence.
The College’s Council will consider a search process for Michael’s replacement when they meet on October 1 and 2, 2020.
